On the evening of a finissage, it's time to say goodbye for good. Anastasiya Nesterova's exhibition had thrilled many visitors over the summer and even attracted some to the Stadtstadel several times. On the last evening, the young, up-and-coming jazz duo with Shuteen Erdenebaatar on grand piano and Nils Kugelmann on contra alto clarinet and double bass captivated the audience and took them on an exciting musical journey on which they combined classical works from both worlds with the lightness and freedom of jazz. During their performance, their cultural heritage from Mongolia and Germany merged into sensitive sounds that, depending on the composition, brought the culture of one or the other more to the fore. Soft and powerful at the same time, the two told their life story in a fairytale way, varied and adorned with many extraordinary sound sequences. The breadth and depth of their music invited us to take a wonderful walk into the landscapes of Anastasiya Nesterova.
At the concert, the two jazz award winners presented pieces from their latest album "Under the same Stars" from 2025 as well as their most recent compositions from this year.
