A particularly sonorous and at the same time wonderfully lightly swinging concert bid farewell to Frank Teufel's exhibition and at the same time a varied Stadtstadel exhibition and concert year. At the end of the year, the cello quartet CelloNation visited the Stadtstadel. The four cellists Nargiza Yusupova, Mareike Kirchner, Katharina Barany and Duygen Aroba-Schumann played an extensive repertoire of classical music such as Bach, Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky, tangos by Astor Piazzolla, chart breakers by Queen and Udo Lindenberg as well as Christmas songs from Germany and the USA. Not only the outstanding playing of the musicians, all masters of their craft, was convincing, but also the dark and powerful depth, the velvety lyrical tenor range of the cello, which enchants with radiant brilliance in the higher registers.
CelloNation is an association of top-class cellists from Munich and the surrounding area. The members are diploma and master's graduates of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and the most important thing: musicians with passion.
All guests agreed: an emotionally moving introduction to the festive season.
